After several years of the same conversations with Lats on them missing out on 1st year tax refunds or not knowing about salary sacrifice options etc till their 4th/5th year I decided to act. Improving information for new Laterals was suggested to the Lateral Recruitment team and DFMS with examples of what was lacking by me in Feb 26. The responce was they were unable to change or upgrade information due to ADF business and non-bias rules and that a Lat who had been through the process and done several tax returns should develop something. So I did! It was a 90 page word doc before deciding a website was best to keep info and links up to date and controlled. I developed it in my own time, at my own expense, learning how to build this website watching Youtube videos and reaching out to DFMS, other Laterals for ideas and suggestions from their own move/experiences/regrets, Tax Agents and ASIC for links and input/review.
I hope it helps you, I am not a financial advisor or a tax agent. Everything in here is learned through research to improve my own, my families and friends quality of life.
I dont buy Big/Grand/Expensive things I dont need to impress people I dont know! I value financial freedom to enjoy life, nutritious health sustaining food, travel and experiences over possessions or excess.
I only link companies I personally use that offer discounts to you. Which makes it biased and unable to be promoted by DFMS!
This website does not endorse or promote credit/loans/borrowing/finance or afterpay style companies.
